Breast Cancer Awareness Month

During October, Douglas County Farmers Co-op is donating 10% of pink merchandise sales to Douglas County Cancer Services.

Breast cancer impacts every one of us, and we at the Co-op are no exception. This October, we are giving back and showing our support to those fighting cancer as well as those supporting them through the process. We are donating 10% of sales of pink merchandise sold this October to Douglas County Cancer Services. Look for displays around the Roseburg store featuring pink products.

Douglas County Cancer Services is a local non-profit that provides support to Douglas County residents going through cancer treatments. They offer programs that help patients and those caring for them, from travel support to holiday food boxes. From the Douglas County Cancer Services webpage:

Douglas County Cancer Services (DCCS), established in 1989, is volunteer driven, non-profit organization dedicated to providing support and services to Douglas County residents who are undergoing cancer treatment. DCCS is located in the Community Cancer Center as an easily accessible resource for cancer patients. DCCS is a sole entity governed only by its Board of Directors and is funded solely through donations, grants and fund raisers conducted throughout the year. All funds raised by DCCS remain in Douglas County to assist Douglas County cancer patients. All services provided by DCCS to Douglas County cancer patients are free of charge.
