Field Chemicals

The Douglas County Farmers Co-Op Field Chemicals department carries a large selection of products to assist with the needs of producers large and small. We carry herbicides for both grass and weed control, along with fungicides and Insecticides for fruit. You’ll find both name brand and generic labels in various sizes, including 30- and 55-gallon drums. The Co-Op also has what you need to safely distribute chemicals, from handheld spray bottles to 60-gallon tow-behind sprayers, as well as sprayer parts and accessories. Not sure what you need to tackle that patch of blackberries or keep noxious weeds out of your fields? Pasture & Lawn Seed

Whether your goal is the lushest lawn in the neighborhood, managing horse pasture, or maintaining a hayfield, the Co-Op’s Seed department offers a large variety of seed for both lawn and pasture use. Establishing a food plot for deer and other wildlife? We offer a variety of wildlife mixes for food plot establishment. We also stock inoculants for legume varieties and can help make sure you get the right one. Commercial seed mixes are available from 2 lb. bags up to 50 lb. bags and we sell individual varieties by the pound. Custom mixes are available in large quantities—let us know what you need!

Critical to quality seed establishment is the application of fertilizer along with seeding. Douglas County Farmers Co-Op offers soil tests that will provide fertilizer recommendations. Ask for one today!

DC LAWN MIX

A blend of Ryegrass and fine Fescues designed to provide a turf quality lawn that is suitable for sun and shade areas.

Formulation: Perennial Ryegrass, Creeping Red fescue, Chewings Fescue

Seeding Rate: 5 lbs./ 1000 sq.ft

 

PASTURE AND SOD BUILDER

This mixture is designed with a great variety of grasses that grow well in the Southern Oregon climate. Pasture and Sod Builder is suitable for all classes of livestock and is appropriate for both hay and pasture.

Formulation: Annual Ryegrass, Perennial Ryegrass, Fawn Tall Fescue, Subterranean Clover, NZ White Clover

Seeding Rate: 40-50 lbs./ Acre

 

JUMP START

Jump Start is a quick establishing highly palatable mixture that is an excellent choice for overseeding existing stands. It performs well on poorly drained soils but does best on moderately well-drained sites.

Formulation: Tetraploid Perennial Ryegrass, Diploid Perennial Ryegrass, Intermediate Ryegrass, Festolium, Tetraploid Annual Ryegrass

Seeding Rate: 30-40 lbs./ Acre

 

SEVEN WAY PASTURE MIX

This combination of grasses and legumes are adapted to a variety of soil types. Well suited for non-irrigated areas, but responds well to irrigation and good management.

Formulation: Tall Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass, Orchardgrass, Timothy, White Clover, Medium Red Clover, Intermediate Ryegrass

Seeding Rate: 30-40 lbs./ Acre

ALL PURPOSE PASTURE MIX

This mixture provides flexibility for hay and long-term pasture. It offers both quick establishment and a variety of seed to provide year-long feed.

Formulation: Orchardgrass, Tetraploid Perennial Ryegrass, Tetraploid Annual Ryegrass, Tall Fescue

Seeding Rate: 25-30 lbs./ Acre
