Full Time

To oversee all day to day financial, accounting, and administrative procedures to include managing overall office procedures, and supervising office personnel. The controller will have primary control over all aspects of financial management and develop internal control policies and procedures.


Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Oversee financial reporting and management reporting.
  • Develop quarterly forecasts and annual budget, ensure deviations from budget are properly investigated.
  • Create and provide management with various reports to help analyze and manage the business.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation by analyzing and researching variances and discrepancies in inventory, as well as perform monthly inventory entries for month-end close.
  • Control and report on inventory management, vendor payment management.
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting, develop reliable cash flow projection process.
  • Account for all daily cash flow from retail sales, customer payments.
  • Provide documentation and assist with external/internal audits for independent auditors.
  • Work closely with accountants, banking, and insurance professionals.
  • Ensure strong control policies and procedures are in place and executed within operations and finance.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll processes and employees.
  • Hire, train, and supervise employees performing clerical, customer service, accounting, billing, collections, and payroll duties.
  • Ensure all customer statements are processed and mailed.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and bills, analyze discrepancies.
  • Attend all board meetings and take meeting minutes.
  • Supervise the development and maintenance of all Co-op stockholder records and promote customers’ understanding of and participation in the membership of the Co-op.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience in a retail environment preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of prior management experience, A/P, and A/R required.
  • Ability to learn new systems, inventory controls, and Epicore Point of Sale system.
  • Be proficient in MS Office Programs, QuickBooks, and Agris.
  • Have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Exceptional decision-making, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills required.
  • Must have a high degree of professionalism and ethical standards or conduct.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to proactively manage multiple obligations and projects.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

  • Previous accounting experience in retail and farm related categories.
  • Farming background and understanding.
  • Accounting experience with grain or agronomy.
  • Knowledge in the agriculture industry.
  • Understanding of how a Cooperative operates.

This is a full-time, salaried position to work 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends.

Hardware/Plumbing Sales Clerk

Full Time

This position requires applicant to sell products, provide customer service, inventory control, and recovery of shelves: selling of hardware and farm merchandise to our customers, answering questions, and answering telephones. You must be able to maintain a neat and tidy personal appearance and help keep the store neat, clean and organized.


  • Herbicide/fungicide knowledge with weed identification and general forage knowledge.
  • Knowledge of vineyard and landscape supplies.
  • Ring up, carry out, and load hardware/farm related store merchandise.
  • Sell products, provide accurate product information, participate in general cleaning.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Know and use resources necessary to make proper recommendations of products sold.
  • Ability to learn store prices, products and services.
  • Be able to use a computerized point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain product inventory levels to assure maximum service.
  • Arrange merchandise stock displays and shelves.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly store environment.
  • Greet customers in a friendly manner with a smile and verbal greeting.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to lift, carry, move, and slide 50 lbs. frequently.

Feed Warehouse Worker

Full Time

This is a full-time, benefited position at our main store.  This is a physically demanding position involving the loading of customer orders, bagging bulk fertilizer and loading vehicles with bulk farm supply products while providing excellent customer service to our patrons.



·         Loading customer orders, picking fence products to complete orders.

·         Loading feed/hay/grain and bagged feed products.

·         Accurate weighing, handling of grass seed mixes. 

·         Hand loading customer orders, to be courteous and friendly to complete order. 

·         Greet customers and load custom feed blends for customers from warehouse and lot products.

·         Assist with providing product information for feed/fertilizer/landscape/fencing/farm products.

·         Keep warehouse and work area neat, clean, and orderly; daily cleaning is required.

·         Performs general maintenance, upkeep and housekeeping of warehouse, outside storage, and buildings maintaining a neat and clean work environment.

·         Exposure to constant dust or airborne particles to be expected.

·         Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions including rain, cold, dust, vibration, climb stairs and ladders.



·         Feed/grain/fertilizer/landscape/fencing/farm ranch industry experience preferred.

·         Able to frequently lift 50# bags, bend, stoop, lift, reach, crouch, stand, and climb or balance.

·         Able to climb ladders, stairs, and bins.

·         Clean driving record.

·         6 months forklift experience preferred.

·         Ability to adapt to changing work conditions.

·         Must be able to work independently, and be self-motivated.

·         Must be detail oriented, with good time management and problem solving skills.

·         Must have excellent communication, both verbal and written.

·         Specific vision abilities required to distinguish color, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.  

·         Must be able to sustain exposure to moving mechanical parts and constant dust or airborne particles. 

·         Must pass drug screen.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.  Hours of operation are 8:00am – 6:00pm.  Weekend work to be expected.  Rate of pay DOE.

Mechanic / CDL Driver

Full Time

This position is responsible for equipment repair and plant maintenance at our Fertilizer/Landscape Facility. Will also provide sales support, counter service and answer phone questions for customers.


Qualifications :

  • General knowledge of hydraulics, belts, sprockets and chains.
  • Experience with welding, fabricating, and repair of metal.
  • Experience with small engine, hydraulic hose repair.
  • Must have a Class A CDL with clean driving record.
  • 6 months forklift and front loader experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
  • Must maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work environment.
  • Must be motivated and a self-starter.
  • Good phone skills required to answer incoming calls and communicate information as needed to customers.
  • Ability to greet customers in a friendly manner with a smile and verbal greeting.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.


This is a full-time position to work 40 hours per week including some Saturdays. Salary DOE.

Carry Out

Part Time

This position is responsible for the daily carryout of feed and related products for our customers.  This is a fast paced position that requires constant hustle and attention to detail, a strong work ethic and customer service skills.


Tasks include:


  • Keeping feed decks organized, stocked, cleaned and free of loose debris.
  • Re-bagging broken and torn bags.
  • Keeping aisles and parking lot clean and clear.
  • Cleaning of restrooms and emptying garbage cans.
  • Repetitive lifting of weight up to 50 pounds with an occasional occurrence of weights that may exceed 300 pounds.
  • Requires that you be able to stoop, bend, twist, kneel, and have considerable flexibility.
  • Requires excellent customer service skills as this person has the last contact with our customer.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.


The work schedule will vary from week to week.  We are open 7 days a week and weekend work is to be expected.  The position will work 4 to 8 hours per day, 20 to 30 hours per week.
